As a specialized Contract Sales & Marketing Organization, we offer pharmaceutical and device companies an outsourcing option for Sales and Marketing and the ability to keep their products available and supported in smaller emerging markets. We offer a one-partner alternative for multiple countries throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
WHERE THE IDEA OF LVH CAME FROM
After years of watching pharmaceutical companies enter and exit smaller developing countries as they make choices on where to place their resources, LVH understands their challenges and aims to bridge the gap to maintain local presence. We simplify your experience, reducing your resources involved and working towards your goals via alternative options.
WHERE ARE WE LOCATED
LVH currently has three locations, LVH International, based in Johannesburg overseeing South Africa businesses, LVH Africa, based in Mauritius oversees businesses in the remainder of Sub-Saharan Africa and LVH Kenya based in Kenya oversees businesses in East Africa.

OUR BUSINESS MODEL
LVH provides clients a one-partner alternative that can handle all Medical Promotion and Marketing activities throughout the region and eliminate the day-to-day complex experience of managing multiple contracts in multiple countries. Our approach is to customise as per the clients’ needs, including options for exclusive or syndicated sales teams or combination of these.
EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP
LVH’s Senior Leadership comprises pharmaceutical and healthcare professionals, who combined, have over 80 years of experience in over 40 countries spanning Sub-Saharan Africa, Caribbean, Central and South America. We bring our network and knowledge to LVH and to collaborations and partnerships with a strong commitment to healthcare in the focus countries.
EXISTING SALES TEAM FOOTPRINT
Our clients include multinational pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare companies.
We’ve also partnered with Nuvoteq, a regulatory contract organization that provides expertise to manage all specific regulatory needs of our clients. Over and above this, Nuvoteq provides LVH with a Pharmacovigilance reporting tool that captures all adverse events or product complaints and directs these to the client.
LVH has sales teams in Kenya, Namibia, Botswana and Mauritius. The intent is to expand to additional countries take on new clients.
LVH has been bolstered by our partnership with Fattal et fils, a 120-year-old Lebanese family-owned company that distributes pharmaceuticals, devices, and other consumer products in the Levant region, Middle East and Northern Africa.

WHAT LIGNUM VITAE MEANS
Lignum Vitae Health takes its name from the Lignum Vitae tree — meaning “wood of life”, a tree renowned for its medicinal properties, the Lignum Vitae is a beautiful yet tough wood. LVH draws its values and underlying principals from this amazing tree. At our core, we are sensitive to customers’ needs, resilient and determined in often difficult markets and we pride ourselves on working with integrity.
